The TDT LFP 4S-15AMP (BLUE) HARDWARE BMS is a compact, moderate-current protection board for 4-cell LiFePO₄ battery packs. It provides essential over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and thermal protection, along with passive cell balancing to enhance safety and extend battery life in 12V applications.

Protection & Safety

Over-charge Protection: Stops charging when cell voltage exceeds safe limits to prevent damage or overheating.

Over-discharge Protection: Prevents cells from being drained below a safe voltage, preserving battery life.

Over-current Protection: Limits draw when current exceeds rated levels (15 A continuous), protecting the cells and wiring.

Short-circuit Protection: Quickly cuts off output in case of a direct short circuit.

Thermal Protection: Temperature-based cut-offs help prevent overheating during charge/discharge — typical boards include thermal limits (charge ~0–50 °C; discharge ~65–75 °C).

Performance & Current Handling

Continuous Discharge Current ~15 A: Handles most moderate loads safely.

Peak Current Handling: Many boards allow brief short-term currents above 15 A (~45 A for ~10 s on some models).

Nominal Voltage: Designed for 4 cells in series (4S) — ~12.8 V nominal battery packs.
